SIX DIMENSIONS OF LIFESTYLE:

What and how your eat and drink

Recreation – activity level

Satisfying social  Relationships

Optimistic view of the Future

Meaningful and productive Career

Aesthetics

Stress and disease can be consequences of "dysfunctional" lifestyles and self-defeating or self-destructive behaviors. Happiness, fulfillment, and  "emotional prosperity" follow from healthy lifestyles.

People are often motivated to try to change their

lifestyles after they are diagnosed with a medical

condition or told that they are at risk. Lifestyle change

can be very difficult but a medical diagnosis can be

the trigger to create a longer and happier life through

creative lifestyle change.

Lifestyle Change Program:

  • Inventory of strengths, abilities, interests
  • Through mindfulness, and life planning techniques, develop a personal fantasy or "vision"
  • Psychotherapy to address limiting and dysfunctional thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
  • Mindfulness practices to help center in oneself, reduce "emotional inflammation" and  expand creative thinking.
  • Use personal projects through art, writing, photography, scrap-booking, etc to help bring it into fruition
  • Personal coaching to keep the process on track.
